Questions? Comments?
I would love to hear from you!

Should you elect me to server on the Board of our Homeowners Association, I will maintain a clear path to communication. Whether you disagree, agree, or just want to voice your 2 cents, I will constantly ask for the input of residents.

I believe strongly that a Homeowners Association is only as beneficial as its members’ engagement and collaboration.

I am running for the HOA board with a clear vision and commitment to improving our community’s governance. Over time, I’ve observed a concerning lack of transparency within our HOA operations, leading to frustration among some residents. I strongly believe that homeowners deserve more direct input and open conversation with the board to ensure their concerns are heard and addressed effectively. As a member of the board, I will prioritize fostering an environment of transparency and open communication.

I am dedicated to financial review to identify areas for budget optimization, ensuring that our resources are allocated efficiently to benefit all residents without need for additional increase in dues.

Furthermore, I recognize the importance of maintaining our community’s facilities and ensuring their timely upkeep. I am committed to implementing proactive maintenance and management strategies to preserve our amenities for the enjoyment and satisfaction of all homeowners.

Together, by addressing these key areas, we can enhance the overall quality of life within our community and foster a stronger sense of unity among residents.

Transparency

I feel strongly that there are many residents which feel there is a lack of transparency among the HOA.

I commit to sharing as many details as possible as to actions that the board has both taken and is considering. Although the residents elect a Board in which they entrust to make decisions, that does not negate a responsibility to keep those residents informed and seek their guidance.

I will reach out to residents with the latest information and seek their input.

engagement & CONSTANT COMMUNITY COMMUNICATION

I would like to see several community social events each year to gather together that utilize the already existing and generally unused social event budget. I also commit to proposing a change from the single required (annual) meeting to more frequent meetings so that residents stay informed and have opportunity to participate in the decision-making process.

I would like to see a community newsletter return to keep all informed.

Facilities

Attention to common areas in regard to landscaping, pond maintenance, pool cleaning, clubhouse appearance is important to retaining the quality of life for our residents. I commit to immediate contact with management and plenty of follow-ups with public status updates for maintenance concerns (eg: fountain, pool, removal of construction debris).

I would initiate grant funding efforts for adding life-saving services such as AEDs and free CPR classes in the neighborhood (I have experience with these) and engage in lobbying the City of Hendersonville to maintain the adopted roads when needed.

I am actively involved in contacting legislators in the efforts to introduce new blasting standards to the State of Tennessee in order to protect our properties from the constant nearby activity.

Timely review

Requests given to the HOA and/or management have sometimes gone without reply or with extended delay for approvals on renovations or building changes. I will strive for timely review and evaluating management services that we pay for.

Posts by residents should be approved quickly, as sometimes missing pets and security concerns rely on this shared communication.

Data from the previously installed speed signs is available for us to review. This data (speeds and date/time - they do not gather identifying information) has not been utilized yet, but would be helpful in determining the best times for the HOA to request additional patrols in the area to keep our kids safe from excess speed.
